Create Project

Vision

The Create Project is a new writing initiative at The Actors Temple led by Director Law Ballard. The Temple is currently mentoring two projects towards a finished piece, with a third in process. Create offers encouragement, support and nurtures new creatives to help develop new written work or improvised pieces to a point where they will be staged as a rehearsed reading. These currently include: Awaken by Cheryl Prince and Scooter by Paula Connolly.

Co-Founder of The Actors Temple, Ellie Zeegen is working with the Create Team as Producer and alongside Law to assist in platforming the work and bringing each piece the exposure it deserves. Ellie has over 2 years experience in leading workshops for playwrights via her Scotland based theatre company Firebrand and over 20 years working with eminent groups such as Southwest Scriptwriters, Player Playwrights and most recently, Page to Stage.

Who Is It For?

Actors, Writers, Directors, and Artists who have an idea they have been yearning to develop further or to create a piece of new work but need support and guidance. Actors who have experience in improvisation and want to develop their piece to a performance level or writers who have work they wish to develop and need support from the Actors’ Temple creative process. All Creatives need to have an awareness of, and an openness to the work of the Actors’ Temple.
